This project brings many new gathering spaces throughout the building. Utilizing more of the building gives members of the community increased access to performing arts experiences.

The box office moves to the street front, improving the buying experience and creating a dynamic street presence that doesn’t currently exist.
The basement becomes a “Speakeasy,” a small event space for performances, community events, film screenings, and more.
A new second floor lounge functions as a donor’s lounge, additional social space, and multi-function event room.
The renovated third floor features a large movement studio and a classroom space for learners of all ages, offering 1,800 square feet of dedicated education space.

Exciting improvements

An expanded main lobby improves flow and overall experience for the visitors.
New bathrooms on each floor doubles the number of facilities and improves accessibility.
Updated administrative offices create a dynamic home for Zeiterion and New Bedford Festival Theatre staff and board.
Designated volunteer space provides a home base for our dedicated volunteer usher corps.
